Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes, and collaborate on care plans
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care to ensure continuity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow facility policies and procedures
• Support mentoring and teamwork — help newer staff grow and succeed

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing — New Mexico licensure preferred
• Comfortable and experienced working an overnight 12-hour shift (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a care team
• Demonstrated ability to document accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
• Compassionate attitude and commitment to high-quality resident-centered care

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures, medication administration, and wound care
• Skillful at monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
