Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations to develop impactful treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes
- Create measurable goals and document progress clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on safe movement strategies and home exercise programs
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment and mentor support staff as needed
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington State (active, unrestricted license required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent entry-level PT degree
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Experience in acute, outpatient, or contract settings preferred; comfort with split-site assignments
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Reliable, professional, and able to collaborate well in a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s/entry-level degree in Physical Therapy (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities appropriate to patient needs
- Proficient with patient assessment tools and developing measurable treatment goals
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Good time management and caseload prioritization for efficient, high-quality care
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches across a variety of patient populations and settings
- Team-oriented mindset and commitment to safety and compliance
