Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team promptly
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with activities of daily living and support patient comfort and dignity
- Participate in care planning and contribute to quality improvement efforts
- Maintain clear, accurate patient records and follow facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with medication administration, vitals, and basic wound care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Local candidates preferred for this local-only assignment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/VN) program; high school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing care and patient assessment skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control procedures
- Ability to triage concerns and escalate appropriately
- Proficiency with electronic health record documentation and charting
- Compassionate patient-centered approach and effective teamwork
