Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across the Main ED, ED Fast Track, and ED Observation Unit
• Triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care and improve flow
• Perform quick registration and entry screening to maintain efficient patient throughput
• Assist with COVID testing and immunization clinics when needed to support public health efforts
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to other qualified departments and assist with patient loads or task-oriented duties as required
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols for patient safety and quality

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Emergency Department nursing
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required
• PALS or ENPC, TNCC required for the role
• Conscious Sedation Certification required (facility can facilitate obtaining this after confirmation)
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and rotating through multiple ED areas
• Ability to float to other departments and adapt to changing assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and prioritization skills in a fast-paced ED setting
• Experience with triage, ED Fast Track, and ED Observation Unit workflows
• Quick registration and entry screening experience to support throughput
• Familiarity with COVID testing and immunization clinic processes
• Competence in emergency interventions, patient monitoring, and documentation
• Team-focused communication and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Resilience and flexibility to handle variable patient volumes and shift changes
