Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based respiratory care and cardiopulmonary diagnostics to critical and non-critical patients
- Assess and monitor patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics and adults, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment with attention to safety and best practices
- Deliver therapeutic interventions, airway management and emergency respiratory support as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless continuity of care
- Document patient assessments, treatments and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in quality improvement efforts and support department protocols and education
Qualifications
- Current NBRC-RRT registration (required)
- Current Oregon Respiratory Care License (required)
- Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
- ACLS, NRP and PALS (required for GSR Respiratory Therapy)
- Two (2) years clinical respiratory care experience preferred
- Experience with neonates and pediatric patients preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
- Patient assessment across the lifespan (neonatal through adult)
- Evidence-based respiratory care and ventilator management
- Emergency airway management and critical care support
- Proficient documentation and use of clinical protocols
- Ability to work effectively on night shift and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
