Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based respiratory care and cardiopulmonary diagnostics to critical and non-critical patients
• Assess and monitor patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics and adults, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment with attention to safety and best practices
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, airway management and emergency respiratory support as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless continuity of care
• Document patient assessments, treatments and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and support department protocols and education

Qualifications

• Current NBRC-RRT registration (required)
• Current Oregon Respiratory Care License (required)
• Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
• ACLS, NRP and PALS (required for GSR Respiratory Therapy)
• Two (2) years clinical respiratory care experience preferred
• Experience with neonates and pediatric patients preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
• Patient assessment across the lifespan (neonatal through adult)
• Evidence-based respiratory care and ventilator management
• Emergency airway management and critical care support
• Proficient documentation and use of clinical protocols
• Ability to work effectively on night shift and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
