Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and craft individualized care plans
- Administer general, regional and monitored anesthesia care across diverse procedures
- Provide airway management and troubleshoot anesthesia-related complications when they arise
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage anesthesia delivery with precision
- Deliver post-anesthesia care and effective pain management to aid patient recovery
- Document accurately and compliantly in EPIC EMR to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary surgical teams for safe, efficient care
- Travel between ambulatory sites as needed to support operational coverage
Qualifications
- Current CRNA certification and active licensure (or eligibility) to practice in Michigan
- Graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program and hold required professional credentials
- Current board certification required — candidates with lapsed certification are not eligible
- Experienced CRNAs only; this role is not open to new graduates
- Able and willing to travel between ambulatory sites as operational needs require
- Not open to locum or locum-to-perm candidates
- Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates
Education
- Graduate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (MSN or DNP preferred)
- Current CRNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in anesthesia administration: general, regional and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
- Strong airway management and perioperative assessment skills
- Proficient in intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Comfort caring for patients across the lifespan — pediatrics through geriatrics
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and accurate clinical documentation practices
- Team-oriented communication and collaboration within a large anesthesiology group
- Adaptability to work across multiple ambulatory sites and surgical specialties
