Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Primarily nights; may fluctuate to days as unit needs; every-other-weekend coverage)

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across the lifespan — neonates through geriatrics
- Perform cardiac monitoring and obtain/interpret 12-lead ECGs to support rapid decision making
- Manage airways, perform/assist with intubation, and care for mechanically ventilated patients
- Administer IV therapy and blood products safely, including starting and maintaining IVs
- Assess and triage patients, prioritize treatments, and manage rapid changes in condition
- Lead trauma resuscitations and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team during critical events
- Deliver procedural sedation monitoring and emergency medication administration when indicated
- Document clear, timely patient records in Epic and participate in handoffs and care planning
- Support STEMI and stroke protocols and activate rapid response processes as needed
- Mentor colleagues, contribute to a collaborative team culture, and uphold isolation/PPE standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (ED experience strongly preferred)
- Current RN license or eligible for Washington state licensure
- Charting experience in Epic (required)
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required or preferred; PALS, TNCC, NRP highly preferred
- Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and providing weekend coverage (every other weekend)
- Ability to work independently in a rural critical access ED and adapt to variable patient volume
- Travel nursing experience preferred, but first-time travelers can be considered
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing fundamentals and triage assessment
- Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead ECG acquisition
- Airway management, intubation, and ventilator care
- Trauma management, splinting, and ortho trauma care
- Pediatric emergency care for common and critical pediatric presentations
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Procedural sedation, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, and vasopressor management
- ABG interpretation, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP troubleshooting
- Familiarity with STEMI and stroke workflows and rapid activation protocols
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork in high-acuity settings
