Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for examination with care and professionalism
- Obtain and document vital signs, including pulse oximetry
- Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG recordings accurately and efficiently
- Chart patient encounters and clinical data in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Record history, medications and allergies to support safe treatment decisions
- Assist clinicians within your scope to keep clinic flow moving smoothly
- Make follow-up phone calls and support patient communication with compassion
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment
Qualifications
- MA-C certification required (MA-R is not accepted for this role)
- BLS certification required
- Previous healthcare experience and familiarity with healthcare terminology
- Proven experience using Epic for charting is required
- Reliable transportation required for this local-preferred assignment
- First-time medical assistants welcome; strong candidates will be considered
- Ability to float within your skillset as needed to support facility needs
Education
- MA-C certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- CMA, RMA or similar certifications are considered a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Epic charting and electronic documentation
- Skilled at obtaining vital signs and performing pulse oximetry
- Competent in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG tracings
- Comfortable working in adult outpatient clinic and cardiology settings
- Strong patient communication, rooming and follow-up phone call skills
- Familiar with clinic workflows, exam preparation and infection control basics
