Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform safe patient transfers and in-hospital transports between units and for procedures
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Use EMR Capacity Management and iMobile tools to coordinate transports and document care
• Communicate clearly with clinical teams, transport techs, and families to ensure smooth transitions
• Safely operate and maintain transport equipment such as stretchers, beds and wheelchairs
• Contribute to a collaborative unit culture that prioritizes patient safety and dignity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (state licensure required for practice)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (telemetry/transport experience a plus)
• Current BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
• Demonstrated ability to lift and transfer patients safely
• Strong communication skills and comfort using EMR tools (Capacity Management, iMobile)
• Comfort working rotating nights and every-other-weekend schedules

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Safe patient handling and transport techniques
• Familiarity with EMR systems and mobile documentation (Capacity Management, iMobile)
• Experience with common hospital equipment (Stryker stretchers, Hill-Rom beds, wheelchairs)
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork under fast-paced conditions
• Good situational awareness and prioritization during multi-patient transfers
