Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to long term care residents
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care
• Document resident status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Advocate for residents and support family communication and education
• Promote a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for New York state required
• Experience in long term care or similar settings preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and adapt quickly in a short-term contract role

Education

• Active RN license in New York required; ADN or BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of long term care nursing practices and standards
• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Proficient in wound care, ADL support, and chronic disease management
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and charting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and team collaboration
