Roles & Responsibilities

• Respond to rapid response activations and perform swift, focused patient assessments
• Stabilize and implement evidence-based interventions while coordinating care
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to guide care decisions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient status clearly and timely
• Communicate with patients and families about clinical status and next steps with compassion
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to practice in North Carolina or compact-state eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (per job posting)
• Experience in rapid response, acute care, or critical care strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong acute assessment skills and rapid decision making in high-pressure situations
• Ability to perform critical interventions and escalate care appropriately
• Clear, concise documentation and communication with a multidisciplinary team
• Comfort working in fast-paced hospital environments and responding to emergent events
• Familiarity with electronic health record workflows and standard hospital protocols
