Location: Glendale, CA
Shift Type: Days not specified, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, day shift; call required every other week (EOW); 8-hour shifts with 40-hour guarantee
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 - $45.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all sterile instruments and supplies are ready — you set the stage for great surgery
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
- Maintain strict sterile technique and uphold OR safety protocols throughout each case
- Perform instrument, sponge and needle counts accurately and document results
- Manage instrument turnover and room setup efficiently to support case flow
- Document perioperative care and communicate findings to the care team clearly and professionally
- Support patient comfort and confidentiality while coordinating with nursing and anesthesia teams
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in the operating room preferred; OR familiarity with sterile technique and instrument sets
- Ability to pass facility credentialing and meet infection control standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; dependable with call responsibilities
Education
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, instrument handling, and surgical instrumentation
- Familiarity with OR protocols, surgical counts, and room turnover
- Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and work calmly under pressure
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and basic computer systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
