Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in your assigned unit
• Perform and document clinical assessments including NIHSS when indicated
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings using AWHONN fetal heart monitoring standards when applicable
• Respond rapidly to emergencies using BLS, ACLS and NRP protocols as needed
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and demonstrate skills per unit checklists
• Accurately maintain patient records, medication administration, and handoffs
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current RN license (active; bring license verification)
• Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Compliance with facility health requirements: 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, and a physical/health statement
• Willingness to work every third weekend as part of the schedule
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a fast-paced team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with NIHSS stroke assessments and acute neurologic observations
• Competence in ACLS and BLS emergency protocols
• Hands-on experience with NRP and newborn stabilization where relevant
• Familiarity with AWHONN fetal heart monitoring standards
• Ability to complete Trinity-specific competency workflows and checklists
• Infection control awareness and adherence to facility health screening requirements
• Clear, timely documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
