Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor fetal heart tracings and apply AWHONN fetal heart monitoring standards to keep moms and babies safe
- Provide neonatal resuscitation when needed following NRP protocols to give newborns the best start
- Perform BLS and ACLS interventions as required in emergent situations
- Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to demonstrate and maintain clinical proficiency
- Ensure license and certification verification is up to date and accurate
- Maintain required health screenings and documentation (vaccines, TB/IGRA, drug screen, physical/health statement) as part of patient and team safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state verification / license verification required)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Up-to-date immunizations and successful 10-panel drug screen as listed in job requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Fetal heart monitoring techniques and interpretation (AWHONN standards)
- Neonatal resuscitation skills per NRP
- Basic and advanced cardiac life support (BLS/ACLS)
- Clinical competency through facility-specific testing and checklists
- Ability to work scheduled weekend rotations (every third weekend as noted)
