Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered oncology nursing care during night shifts
- Assess and monitor patients, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
- Document clinical care thoroughly and accurately in the Cerner EMR
- Administer treatments and medications safely; administer chemotherapy when Chemo Certification is held
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Perform or assist with unit procedures such as echo monitoring and thoracentesis as needed
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Adhere to unit policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as listed)
- BLS certification (required)
- Chemo Certification preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Comfort working with med-surg and oncology patient populations
- Team player attitude and willingness to learn; ability to work scheduled weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology nursing principles and patient symptom management
- Chemotherapy administration protocols and safety (when certified)
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR documentation
- Patient assessment, vital sign interpretation, and post-procedure monitoring
- Basic familiarity with procedures such as echo and thoracentesis
- Strong communication, delegation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage patient loads consistent with 1:4 to 1:5 ratios
