Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care for critically ill patients in the neuro/medical ICU
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as central line and arterial line placement and intubation safely and confidently
• Provide focused care for patients with EVDs and collaborate with core teams for specialty needs
• Use Meditech EMR to document assessments, interventions, and interdisciplinary communication accurately
• Monitor invasive lines, ICU equipment, and patient status to detect and act on changes quickly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other team members to coordinate complex care plans
• Support unit culture by being accountable, caring, and a reliable team player on every shift

Qualifications

• Current RN license (eligible to practice in the state of assignment)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (this role requires ICU experience)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Comfortable with ICU procedures and equipment including central line/A-line care, intubation, and EVD care
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
• Oncology and neuro ICU experience are a plus and will make your application stand out

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring skills for unstable patients
• Hands-on familiarity with standard ICU equipment and monitoring systems
• Procedure competency or experience: central lines, arterial lines, intubation, and EVD care
• Clinical documentation skills using Meditech
• Strong teamwork, communication, and accountability in fast-paced environments
• Ability to manage 2:1 patient ratios and prioritize complex care needs
