Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; schedule includes every other weekend (night coverage)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality orthopedic nursing care to post-op and medical-surgical orthopedic patients
- Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removals, and Wound VAC maintenance
- Manage Foley catheters and NG tube care safely and accurately
- Document patient care and assessments promptly in Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-op care, mobility, and discharge instructions
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition with clinical judgment
- Support unit flow while maintaining patient ratios and safe standards of care
Qualifications
- Active NC nursing license (required)
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current clinical experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (per job posting)
- Hospital and/or orthopedic surgery experience preferred
- Comfortable working night shifts and every-other-weekend rotations
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong orthopedic and post-operative nursing skills
- Experience with wound care and wound vac management
- Competence in Foley catheter and NG tube management
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt as a team player
- Good assessment, documentation, and patient education skills
