Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Initiate and manage life-saving interventions following BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Document patient care thoroughly in Meditech to ensure clear continuity
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to coordinate rapid, effective treatment plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
• Participate in unit call responsibilities and assist with fluctuating patient volumes

Qualifications

• Active RN license — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 2+ years of specialty ER experience
• NIH required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• TNCC required
• Meditech experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency department assessment and triage skills
• Proficient use of Meditech electronic documentation
• Comfortable managing critical care scenarios and pediatric emergencies
• Excellent critical thinking and decisive judgment under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Time management and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced ER environment
• Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to floating as needed
