Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic surgery and inpatient med/tele patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Assess patient condition, interpret telemetry data, and respond to changes in status promptly
• Administer medications, treatments and IV therapies accurately and safely
• Coordinate care with surgeons, physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members
• Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and compliance
• Educate patients and families on post-op care, discharge instructions and recovery expectations
• Float across units as needed, adapting quickly and bringing a team-player attitude
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and promoting patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in the assignment state)
• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• Minimum ~2 years nursing experience; strong telemetry experience for preference
• Chemo certification is a nice-to-have (opens opportunities on Oncology unit)
• Comfortable working in a float pool and adaptable to varied inpatient populations

Education

• ASN or BSN in Nursing (or equivalent nursing diploma) — program completion and clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable using Meditech EMR for clinical documentation and orders
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
• Post-operative orthopedic nursing skills including pain management and wound care
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and critical thinking
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient education skills
• Ability to adapt quickly when floating to different inpatient units
