Shift Type: Schedule varies (Night shift): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shift) — schedule assigned per unit (NOC)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic surgery and inpatient med/tele patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Assess patient condition, interpret telemetry data, and respond to changes in status promptly
- Administer medications, treatments and IV therapies accurately and safely
- Coordinate care with surgeons, physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and compliance
- Educate patients and families on post-op care, discharge instructions and recovery expectations
- Float across units as needed, adapting quickly and bringing a team-player attitude
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and promoting patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in the assignment state)
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (required)
- Minimum ~2 years nursing experience; strong telemetry experience for preference
- Chemo certification is a nice-to-have (opens opportunities on Oncology unit)
- Comfortable working in a float pool and adaptable to varied inpatient populations
Education
- ASN or BSN in Nursing (or equivalent nursing diploma) — program completion and clinical training
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable using Meditech EMR for clinical documentation and orders
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
- Post-operative orthopedic nursing skills including pain management and wound care
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and critical thinking
- Excellent communication, teamwork and patient education skills
- Ability to adapt quickly when floating to different inpatient units
