Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE MRI systems, ensuring excellent image quality for diagnosis
• Administer MRI contrast and execute non-contrast protocols safely and according to policy
• Operate MRI equipment and troubleshoot routine technical issues to keep workflow moving
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR
• Coordinate with radiologists and the clinical team to prioritize patient care and imaging needs
• Assess and monitor patients before, during and after scans to maintain safety and comfort
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols and equipment readiness for reliable operations
• Contribute positively to the unit culture and help create a welcoming experience for patients

Qualifications

• MRI registered (required)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience (as noted in the posting)
• Required MRI certification(s) per facility policy
• Experience with breast MRI is preferred and will be considered an asset
• Familiarity with GE MRI systems and Cerner EMR preferred
• Strong patient-care skills, attention to detail and solid communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MRI imaging techniques (contrast and non-contrast)
• Experience with GE MRI scanners and routine QA checks
• Working knowledge of Cerner EMR for documentation and orders
• Understanding of MRI safety, patient screening and contrast protocols
• Ability to perform breast MRI protocols and specialty imaging when requested
• Good problem-solving skills and teamwork in a busy radiology environment
