Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; schedule varies and includes night and weekend on-call coverage (rotating schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
- Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical instrumentation
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia team during procedures as a scrub or circulating nurse
- Assess patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively and advocate for patient safety
- Document perioperative care and communicate handoffs clearly with the care team
- Participate in unit-based teamwork, education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to night and weekend call as scheduled to support surgical services
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado licensure required or compact RN eligible)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with OR experience strongly preferred
- BLS required; ACLS and CNOR certification preferred
- Current ACLS and perioperative nursing competencies as required by facility
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in rotating on-call coverage
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong perioperative nursing knowledge, sterile technique, and instrumentation familiarity
- Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and prioritize tasks in fast-paced OR settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and perioperative documentation
- Critical thinking and patient advocacy under time-sensitive conditions
