Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour evening-to-night shifts, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, schedule varies by department and includes every other weekend

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients in a high-volume emergency department with compassion and clinical precision
- Deliver trauma and stroke care following established protocols and best practices
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Cerner to support seamless handoffs
- Operate and monitor Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors to maintain safe therapy and surveillance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coaching and giving real-time feedback to support team performance
- Communicate clearly with patients and families using AIDET principles to enhance patient experience
- Adapt to fluctuating patient ratios and prioritize care in a busy ED environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state license required prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
- Certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Comfort with trauma center and comprehensive stroke center workflows
- Strong teamwork mindset and the ability to coach peers in real time
- Willingness to work all areas of the ED and meet scheduling needs including every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner documentation and electronic charting
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps and GE cardiac/monitoring systems
- Triage skills and cardiac monitoring interpretation
- Trauma and stroke assessment and treatment familiarity
- Excellent patient communication skills using AIDET and patient experience best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, multicultural environment
