Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across a wide acuity spectrum
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patients to ensure timely, life-saving interventions
• Perform trauma and stroke protocols with precision and timely documentation
• Monitor patients using GE monitors and manage Baxter infusion pumps safely
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to support continuity of care
• Coach, mentor and give real-time feedback to team members to elevate unit performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow and disposition
• Promote excellent patient experience using AIDET and clear communication throughout the visit

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) highly valued
• Current ACLS and BLS prior to start date; PALS, TNCC, CPI and NIHSS required before start
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to coach, provide feedback in real time and float across ED sections

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency and trauma nursing knowledge including stroke care
• Proficient in patient monitoring and use of GE monitors
• Experience with Baxter infusion pumps
• Accurate and timely documentation in Cerner
• Triage skills and ability to manage high patient-to-nurse ratios
• Teamwork, flexibility and the ability to mentor others effectively
• Familiarity with AIDET and patient experience best practices
