Shift Type: Rotating nights (includes every other weekend), 2:45 PM - 3:15 AM (overnight)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across a wide acuity spectrum
- Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patients to ensure timely, life-saving interventions
- Perform trauma and stroke protocols with precision and timely documentation
- Monitor patients using GE monitors and manage Baxter infusion pumps safely
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to support continuity of care
- Coach, mentor and give real-time feedback to team members to elevate unit performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow and disposition
- Promote excellent patient experience using AIDET and clear communication throughout the visit
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred
- Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) highly valued
- Current ACLS and BLS prior to start date; PALS, TNCC, CPI and NIHSS required before start
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Ability to coach, provide feedback in real time and float across ED sections
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency and trauma nursing knowledge including stroke care
- Proficient in patient monitoring and use of GE monitors
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps
- Accurate and timely documentation in Cerner
- Triage skills and ability to manage high patient-to-nurse ratios
- Teamwork, flexibility and the ability to mentor others effectively
- Familiarity with AIDET and patient experience best practices
