Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide advanced mechanical ventilation care to critically ill patients
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
• Assist with intubation and provide tracheostomy care with precision and compassion
• Deliver high-flow oxygen therapy and bronchodilator treatments to stabilize and improve patient breathing
• Respond to code blue events and provide rapid, skilled respiratory support during emergencies
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document care in Meditech accurately and promptly
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including Drager and Phillips V60 ventilators, Vapotherm, and Metaneb
• Coordinate safe patient transport and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RRT or CRT certification required
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as listed), with one year ICU experience preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with ventilator management and emergency response
• Current respiratory care licensure as required by state regulations

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator modes
• ABG interpretation and respiratory diagnostics
• Airway management including intubation assist and trach care
• High-flow oxygen therapy and bronchodilator treatment techniques
• Familiarity with Drager ventilators, Phillips V60, Vapotherm, Metaneb
• Documentation proficiency in Meditech and accurate charting
• Code blue response and acute care prioritization
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
