Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy interventions under COTA scope to help clients regain independence
• Implement and carry out treatment plans developed with supervising therapist
• Document patient progress clearly and promptly to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy team members, and family to optimize outcomes
• Assist with adaptive equipment selection and training to enhance daily living skills
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating respectfully and professionally

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - required
• Current or eligible to obtain any Montana facility-required licensure or authorization
• Ability to provide care on day shifts and meet the guaranteed 36 hours/week commitment
• Strong communication and documentation skills in a clinical setting

Education

• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of therapeutic activities and ADL retraining
• Skilled in patient assessment and safe assistive device use
• Competent clinical documentation and charting
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management to deliver quality care within scheduled hours
