Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy interventions under COTA scope to help clients regain independence
- Implement and carry out treatment plans developed with supervising therapist
- Document patient progress clearly and promptly to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy team members, and family to optimize outcomes
- Assist with adaptive equipment selection and training to enhance daily living skills
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating respectfully and professionally
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - required
- Current or eligible to obtain any Montana facility-required licensure or authorization
- Ability to provide care on day shifts and meet the guaranteed 36 hours/week commitment
- Strong communication and documentation skills in a clinical setting
Education
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of therapeutic activities and ADL retraining
- Skilled in patient assessment and safe assistive device use
- Competent clinical documentation and charting
- Effective teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management to deliver quality care within scheduled hours
