Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Assist nursing staff with treatments, transfers and mobility support
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification (active) — California certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Comfortable working independently on per diem assignments
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• CNA certification from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing care and patient hygiene assistance
• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Understanding of infection control standards and PPE use
• Good time management and prioritization on busy shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and families
