Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, efficient urgent care assessment and treatment
Triaging patients and prioritizing care based on acuity
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Perform wound care, splinting, and basic procedures as needed
Document patient encounters clearly and promptly in the chart
Collaborate with providers and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state, California preferred
Current BLS certification; additional certifications a plus
Experience in urgent care, emergency, or fast-paced outpatient settings preferred
Comfortable with procedures common to urgent care such as wound care and IV starts
Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and clinical decision making
Proficient in safe medication administration and documentation
Knowledge of infection control and basic emergency procedures
Comfortable using electronic medical records and clinical documentation
Able to multitask in a busy urgent care environment while maintaining patient-centered care
