Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with a strong emphasis on vascular studies, delivering high-quality images for accurate interpretation
• Operate and troubleshoot GE ultrasound equipment and use Synapse/PACS for image management
• Document procedures and chart in EPIC promptly and accurately
• Manage a clinical workload of roughly 8–12 studies per shift while maintaining excellent patient care
• Provide compassionate patient interactions, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Participate in on-call rotation, weekend coverage and holiday shifts as required
• Maintain radiation safety practices and ensure agency-provided radiation badge is used and tracked
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, supervisors and the multispecialty team to support patient care

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT); RVT preferred for vascular emphasis
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience with strong vascular experience required
• Comfortable working night shifts, weekends and participating in call
• Must be able to submit driver’s license and be within a 60-mile radius as requested for assignment logistics
• Agency must provide traveler radiation badge prior to start

Education

• ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) — RVT preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in vascular ultrasound techniques and vascular duplex studies
• Experience with hospital ultrasound protocols including OB scans under 14 weeks
• Familiarity with EPIC for charting and Synapse/PACS for image archiving
• Skilled operating GE ultrasound equipment
• Strong patient communication, time management and documentation skills
• Able to manage a steady throughput (8–12 studies per shift) with accuracy and composure
