Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support safe mobility: help with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff.
• Document care activities accurately and timely to maintain continuity of care.
• Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, empathetic communication.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required.
• Completion of an approved CNA training program.
• Prefer prior CNA experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar settings (helpful but not required).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on a care team.
• Ability to pass standard background checks and any facility-specific health screenings.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required for CNA certification).

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care tasks in a respectful, dignified manner.
• Basic knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and resident rights.
• Ability to take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition.
• Good documentation and charting practices to support clinical workflows.
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during your shift.
• Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with residents.
