Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while promoting independence
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and use appropriate body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document care provided in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
• Communicate observations and resident needs to the interdisciplinary care team
• Build rapport with residents and families to enhance resident comfort and well-being

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active/state-appropriate CNA registration or eligibility to register in Pennsylvania (preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility credentialing requirements
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on per-diem assignments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Good documentation and charting habits
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
• Comfort with following care plans and reporting changes to nursing staff
