Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation and safe transfers using proper body mechanics
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident observations accurately and promptly
- Support residents during meals and ensure dignity and comfort throughout care
- Communicate changes in condition or concerns to the nursing team and document thoroughly
- Follow infection control, safety protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Able to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
- Reliable transportation and availability for per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families and team members
- Basic charting and following care plans
- Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
