Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and any required equipment
• Document delivered care accurately and timely in resident records
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to support comfort and trust
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe resident handling
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills with residents and team members
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but new CNAs who are eager to learn are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, hygiene care, and bedside assistance
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic charting or paper charts
• Strong observational skills to notice and report resident changes
• Teamwork, empathy, and effective communication with residents and staff
