Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for each resident
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
- Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices as needed
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active state CNA registration or licensure for Pennsylvania
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working independently in per diem shifts and as part of a team
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude with reliable attendance and strong communication skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic patient care
- Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Basic knowledge of mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
