Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients within the correctional behavioral health setting
- Observe and document patient behavior, changes in status, and responses to interventions
- Apply de-escalation and safety protocols to maintain a secure therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with nurses, clinicians, and custodial staff to coordinate patient care
- Support group activities and therapeutic programming as directed
- Accurately complete clinical documentation and incident reports in a timely manner
- Participate in mandated training and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) credential required
- Comfortable working in a correctional facility environment (experience preferred)
- Willingness to work the assigned schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, early day shift
- Able to complete a two-week training/onboarding program at the start of the assignment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must meet facility requirements for background checks and clearance
Education
- Completion of a Psychiatric Technician program and LPT licensure
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health fundamentals and basic psychiatric care
- Skilled in observation, documentation, and reporting of clinical information
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Familiarity with correctional facility safety protocols and teamwork under controlled conditions
- Good interpersonal skills and culturally sensitive patient interactions
- Ability to follow treatment plans and direction from clinical staff
