Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility) with patience and respect
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Comfortable with standing, lifting, and assisting patients as part of daily care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care principles and safe handling techniques
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Good observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
- Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
- Infection control and universal precautions
- Teamwork, time management, and reliable follow-through
