Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for patients
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Assist with basic treatments and follow care plans as directed
- Participate in shift handoffs and documentation to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (appropriate for Pennsylvania)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Comfort working in a per diem format with variable scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED plus CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members
- Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Basic familiarity with electronic health record documentation
