Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and grooming with dignity and respect
• Provide compassionate hands-on care and emotional support to patients and their families
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Safely transfer and ambulate patients, using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
• Document care activities accurately in the patient record and communicate updates during shift change
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must be valid in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and working as part of a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and ADL support
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and team members
• Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
