Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) for residents
- Monitor and record resident condition, reporting changes promptly to the care team
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics and safety protocols
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
- Help maintain a clean, respectful, and dignified environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to support individualized care plans
- Respond calmly and professionally in urgent situations and support resident safety at all times
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential — must hold appropriate VT (or NH if applicable) licensure or be eligible
- Previous experience as an LNA or CNA is preferred but motivated new grads from approved LNA programs are welcome
- Available to work 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM and commit to an every-other-weekend rotation
- Local candidates only; reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
Education
- Completion of an accredited LNA program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on resident care skills and familiarity with ADLs
- Basic vital signs monitoring and understanding of when to escalate concerns
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and the care team
- Good documentation habits and comfort with facility charting systems
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
