Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and function
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
- Document clinical assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately and timely
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies for safe, independent living
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a patient-centered care environment
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license for Massachusetts required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; DPT preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
- Clinical experience in inpatient or post-acute settings preferred
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and manual techniques
- Proficiency in patient assessment, goal setting, and outcome measurement
- Ability to design safe, progressive home exercise programs
- Skilled in gait training, transfers, and assistive device recommendations
- Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and educating caregivers
- Good organizational skills and reliable clinical documentation practices
