Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents — assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions and vital signs accurately and promptly
- Support safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and respectful environment for residents
- Engage residents in friendly conversation and meaningful activity to support emotional wellbeing
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Must have reliable personal transportation — this is a local-only role and public/ride-share may not be available
- Ability to pass facility onboarding requirements (background check and any required screenings)
- Comfortable working a daytime schedule and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
- Accurate documentation and basic charting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork ability
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Compassionate bedside manner and attention to resident dignity
