Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer precise radiation treatments using linear accelerators to deliver patient-centered care
- Perform CT simulations to accurately plan and document treatment courses
- Operate and document in Mosaiq and Epic to maintain clear, timely patient records
- Ensure patient safety by following radiation protection protocols and department policies
- Prepare and educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, medical physicists and the care team to optimize treatment
- Monitor and report equipment issues and participate in routine checks to maintain high standards
- Contribute to a respectful, professional environment that follows facility guidelines (including infection control and dress/code policies)
Qualifications
- ARRT (T) – Certified Radiation Therapist (required)
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy program
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
- Proficiency with Mosaiq and Epic charting systems
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam is preferred
- Valid driver’s license at time of submittal
- Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility (radius rule applies)
Education
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy program (required)
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent clinical education in Radiation Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of radiation therapy and patient safety
- CT simulation workflows and treatment planning support
- Operation and troubleshooting of linear accelerators
- Familiarity with Varian TrueBeam equipment (preferred)
- Electronic medical record navigation in Mosaiq and Epic
- Strong patient communication, bedside manner and education skills
- Time management for treating an average caseload (~10 patients/day)
- Attention to department policies and infection control practices
