Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis and extremities using departmental scanners
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE and Toshiba) while following safety and imaging protocols
• Manage image acquisition and archiving using Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
• Provide excellent patient care and clear communication with patients, families, and the radiology team
• Collaborate with radiologists and lead techs to ensure timely, accurate studies and reporting
• Document procedures and chart in Cerner according to departmental standards
• Participate in rotating call and float coverage when needed to support patient care continuity

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• California Radiology Technologist (R) or (F) preferred
• IV certification preferred (but not required for this role)
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology imaging experience
• Comfortable working night shifts, weekends (every other weekend), holidays and rotating call
• Willingness to float to Mercy Downtown (~6.5 miles) when scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiography and X-ray imaging workflows
• Experience with MRI procedures including MRCP
• Familiarity with PACS: Radnet and Merge Unity
• Experience using Cerner for charting and documentation
• Skilled in imaging of abdomen, pelvis and extremities
• Ability to operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
• Strong patient-care skills and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting
