Shift Type: Nights; 12-hour shifts (facility-defined start/end times), with primary coverage Fri-Sat-Sun nights; rotating schedule including every-other-weekend coverage and rotating call (30-minute response); guaranteed 36 hours/week

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis and extremities using departmental scanners
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE and Toshiba) while following safety and imaging protocols
- Manage image acquisition and archiving using Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
- Provide excellent patient care and clear communication with patients, families, and the radiology team
- Collaborate with radiologists and lead techs to ensure timely, accurate studies and reporting
- Document procedures and chart in Cerner according to departmental standards
- Participate in rotating call and float coverage when needed to support patient care continuity
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- California Radiology Technologist (R) or (F) preferred
- IV certification preferred (but not required for this role)
- Minimum of 2 years of radiology imaging experience
- Comfortable working night shifts, weekends (every other weekend), holidays and rotating call
- Willingness to float to Mercy Downtown (~6.5 miles) when scheduled
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in radiography and X-ray imaging workflows
- Experience with MRI procedures including MRCP
- Familiarity with PACS: Radnet and Merge Unity
- Experience using Cerner for charting and documentation
- Skilled in imaging of abdomen, pelvis and extremities
- Ability to operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
- Strong patient-care skills and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting
