Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift on a per-diem basis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a resident-first mindset
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and repositioning
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and standard resident care
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and report resident changes promptly
- Good time management and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Respectful, empathetic approach to working with older adults
