Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and ventilator support for patients across age groups
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators, including PB 980, PB 840, V60 and transport vents
• Perform timely patient assessments and deliver critical respiratory interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on respiratory care plans
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR and advanced airway procedures when needed
• Document care accurately using computerized charting and medication workflows with Pyxis
• Support safe patient transports using Para Pac transport ventilators and protocols
• Deliver compassionate care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory care experience
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS required prior to start
• RRT preferred
• NRP preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception required before contract start
• Comfortable caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation expertise
• Airway management and emergency respiratory interventions
• Familiarity with PB 980, PB 840, V60 ventilators and Para Pac transport vents
• Experience with computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and collaborate with on-site teams
