Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision to help residents regain independence
- Support residents in improving functional abilities and overall quality of life through compassionate care
- Document patient progress accurately and efficiently to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with the rehab and nursing teams to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
- Maintain compliance with state and facility guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality services
Qualifications
- Valid California COTA license (required)
- SNF experience preferred, especially in geriatric rehabilitation
- Strong interpersonal and clinical skills to build rapport and deliver effective interventions
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
- Comfort working under OT supervision and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Geriatric rehabilitation knowledge and best practices
- Skilled documentation and progress note writing
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Clinical assessment and treatment implementation for functional goals
- Adaptability in a dynamic skilled nursing setting
