Shift Type: 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (four 10-hour days per week); weekday on-call 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM with 30-minute response expectation; 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends (every other weekend plus one weekday) — Day with on-call nights and alternating weekends

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in an acute care, magnet-designated hospital
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications (within 30 minutes) for weekday and weekend coverage
• Utilize Epic for accurate, timely charting and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including L/D and OR support as needed
• Participate in holiday and weekend coverage as part of the on-call rotation
• Support unit staffing and handoffs to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications a plus
• Experience in acute care settings preferred
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record strongly preferred
• Ability to be on-call per schedule and respond within 30 minutes
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Epic charting and documentation workflows
• Acute care clinical assessment and prioritization
• Strong situational awareness for on-call and emergency response
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and effective handoff communication
• Time management and adaptability across day shifts and on-call duties
