Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and ventilator management for acute care patients
• Perform patient assessments and respiratory treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and participate in codes when needed
• Document treatments, interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
• Complete required competency testing and maintain certification compliance
• Support unit workflow during EOW and holiday rotations to ensure continuous patient coverage

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (license/certificate verification required)
• RRT preferred; CRT will be considered with strong acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred when available
• Clinical experience in acute care/critical care settings preferred
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong acute care respiratory therapy knowledge (ventilator management, airway care)
• Proficiency with patient assessment, ABG interpretation and oxygen therapy
• Comfort working night shifts and in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Clear clinical communication and teamwork skills during handoffs and emergencies
• Competence with required clinical documentation and protocol adherence
