Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while preserving dignity
Monitor residents' condition and report changes to nursing staff in a timely manner
Support safe and comfortable mealtimes, including feeding assistance when needed
Maintain accurate documentation of care and resident interactions
Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, supportive environment

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Comfort with physical aspects of the role (assisting with transfers, repositioning)
Previous long-term care or geriatric experience preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of elder care best practices and dignity-centered assistance
Basic infection control and safety procedures
Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
Good time-management and teamwork skills
Comfortable using facility documentation systems or charts
