Roles & Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot and ankle x-rays
• Operate X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment and perform imaging procedures independently
• Process and document images into PACS and maintain quality image standards
• Provide basic patient care including obtaining vitals and preparing patients for clinician evaluation
• Obtain specimens and perform blood draws if qualified and authorized
• Maintain a clean, orderly and well-stocked work area and equipment
• Float to Main Radiology as needed to support department workflow and patient care

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) licensure
• Current CPR certification
• California Fluoroscopy Permit (required)
• EPIC EMR experience (required)
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Phlebotomy (blood draw) skills a plus

Education

• Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) or equivalent state-issued certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and X-ray imaging techniques
• Patient positioning for diagnostic exams
• Image processing and management in PACS
• Fluoroscopy operation and safety practices
• Basic patient care, vital signs and specimen handling
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
