Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate acute inpatient patients to develop timely, individualized therapy plans
• Deliver hands-on and progressive therapeutic interventions for ortho, trauma, neuro, and medical-surgical diagnoses
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, rehab techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Provide safe mobility and discharge recommendations that prioritize patient independence and safety
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately in EPIC to support continuity of care
• Support ICU and intermediate care patients with appropriate clinical judgment and precautions
• Participate in orientation and mentor rehab techs to maintain high-quality unit workflows
• Float between Zone 1 facilities as needed to support patient care demands

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Physical Therapist license required at time of submittal
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience preferred
• Comfortable and experienced with acute inpatient caseloads: ortho/spine, trauma, neuro, medical-surgical, ICU and intermediate care
• Experience with EPIC or similar clinical documentation systems preferred
• Ability to collaborate with rehab techs and the interdisciplinary team
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to meet 60-mile radius/DL submission requirement
• Willingness to work the required schedule (Tuesday–Saturday or Wednesday–Saturday) and cover scheduled holidays as needed

• Clinical documentation best practices (EPIC experience)

• Strong interdisciplinary communication and care coordination
• Familiarity with acute care diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, cardiac, post-surgical, and withdrawal management
